Atratus has been chosen to assist Solar Share in delivering the largest community-owned solar farm in Australia. This ground breaking 1MW project will be located on Majura Road, near the iconic Mount Majura Vineyard and close to the very popular Majura Pines mountain bike recreational area.
Once completed the solar farm will occupy around 3Ha and generate enough electricity to power around 250 of Canberra’s homes.
Our Principal Consultant, Simon Troman, is a member of the Solar Share Advisory panel, providing technical expertise into the roll out of the project, including contracts with suppliers and construction.
Atratus has been providing early stage advice on options for integration of solar at the soon to be constructed Visitor Centre at Mulligans Flat Woodland Sanctuary. This architecturally-designed building will join Canberra’s list of must-see places, providing an introduction into the regions native animals and the conservation efforts being undertaken at the Sanctuary.
Atratus is working on concepts for integrated solar that blends with the building and surrounds, and provides multiple end benefits.
Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex – Tidbinbilla
Atratus was retained by CSIRO to provide advice on system sizing, integration, and ownership models for a large solar installation at the Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex. When complete this project will provide a large proportion of the site’s energy needs at a lower cost than the grid, while also reducing the carbon footprint of site operations.
